Celeb for a Day

Being a mom is rewarding and hard.  More often, we neglect our own selves because we always have to put our families before us. There are mommies who juggles family and career at the same time. Stay-at-home moms who focus in taking care of the family and household chores. Mommies who are working at home, doing online business, direct-selling, by appointment businesses like Financial Planners. Single-mothers who are both mom/dad and the breadwinner of the family. The list goes on. For every family, there is a unique kind of supermoms. I felt ecstatic when Waldy told me that I was one of the 5 chosen moms who will get a make over from SM Woman. He nominated me for SM Supermom Makeover and got picked out of more than 500 nominees. It was awesome!  I got a small glimpse of what celebrities and hosts do in photo and video shoots. We had before and after pictorial, professional make up artist and a professional stylist, Levenson Rodriguez to give us a day of transfo...

My I-Story: The Journey of an Independent Beauty Consultant

Everyone has a dream. And, I'm not talking about the dream that happens when we sleep. This dream is the real deal. An ambition. A goal. Its what keeps us motivated and work harder. Let me tell you about my Mary Kay journey, my dream that sets fire on me and inspires me to never stop chasing it. I was an Insurance Agent or a Financial Advisor as they now call it before I knew the Mary Kay company. I was struggling to sell a plan since most of the clients I talk to were older and wiser in the financial field than I. It was 2009.  An awarded collegue offered me to try and buy from her. Upon checking the catalogue, I knew that this was something I would be very passionate with. So I told her I wanted to join. She introduced me to my current Sales Director, Marita Del Corro and I became one of the many Independent Beauty Consultants. This was the start of my exciting journey. I became a full time Independent Beauty Consultant, a Team Leader, Red Jacket University ...

A Tribute to all Supermoms

I never realized how hard being it is to be a mom, until I became one. The thing is, our mom passed away when I was 8 years old. I was the youngest of six brood and never get to spend that much time to get to know mama. Then Tita, our stepmom, came along when I was 11. She helped our father raise us. She taught me to love unconditionally, by loving us as her own. I was blessed to have two wonderful mother. The one who carried with in her belly for 9 months and brought me out into this world, and breastfed me for almost 5 years. And the one who took care of me and raised me to be the woman and a mother I am today. As a mother, it was an honor to be invited to the launch of SM Supermalls' National Supermom's day.  SM Supermalls Senior Vice President for Marketing, Jonjon San Agustin spearheaded the event with a wonderful remark: " Mother's Day is the best time of the year to thank our mom's for all their dedication and hard ...

Learning Made Extraordinary!

Every school break, we find it hard to look for an interesting summer program where Izhi would be interested in. I tried ballet for her when she was 6, but dancing isn't her first love. We suggested that she try basketball, swimming, theater and so on to no luck.  However, several schools who gave them computer knowledge test, visited us at home and offered a discount for us to enroll Izhi to their basic programming workshop. Apparently, Izhi has achieved high marks on their exams and is offering us a discount upon enrolling. We discussed the matter and decided to decline since we think that she will just forget the lessons since she won't be doing it often. We are looking for something that will bring out the creativity in her. We were invited to a one day free workshop at SparkleLab where we can try their programs. I must say I was impressed! The place was laid-back kinda homey where strange and wonderful things happen. There were Lego's, sewing kits, code, motor...
