Vita Cubes 2Good Moment

It was an awesome afternoon at Active Fun Bonifacio yesterday, as we celebrated Vita Cubes 2Good Fun Day! It was my first time to attend an event with Mommy Bloggers Philippines and met other seasoned and newbie bloggers just like me.

Waldy, Yuri and I had so much fun going around the party, joined games, watched the magic show and ate a hearty merienda. It was made even better as we got to bring home lots of goodies from Vita Cubes and got a pass for an hour of play at Active Fun for free!

Prior to the event, Izhi already introduced Vita Cubes to me as she started including it to her baon list. I never really paid attention to it since I thought it was just another candy she tasted from her classmate. What surprised me was that this cubed-shape jelly candies are fortified with essential vitamins and minerals that are important for growing kids. It’s more like giving vitamins hassle-free to our kids who most of the time don’t like the traditional medicine taste of vitamins.
Here’s the breakdown of the list of vitamins and minerals that are included in every Vita Cubes jelly candy:
·         Lysine. Contains 70% of the child’s RENI (Recommended Energy and Nutrient Intake) that aids the body in proper growth and energy production and calcium absorption.
·         Zinc. Contains 70% of child’s RENI. Helps in proper functioning of the immune and digestive system, energy metabolism and in increasing the rate for healing wounds.
·         Vitamin A. Contains 40% of the child’s RENI. Helps in increasing the body immune system to fight infection and also plays a vital role in ensuring healthy eyes and bone development.
·         Vitamin B. Supplies 30 – 70% of the child’s RENI. Promotes growth, strength and stimulates memory in children in the formative years. It also helps boost oxygen circulation in the body, focusing on the brain to help with concentration and also assists in converting fats and carbohydrates into energy.
·         Vitamin C. Supplies 30% of the child’s RENI. Helps form and repair red blood cells, bones, and tissues which are vital for our child’s healing, boosting their immune system and fighting infections.
·         Vitamin E. 45% of the child’s RENI. Boosts the immune system to fight germs and helps the body to work together to function regularly.

Very sulit for a P12/50G (SRP) pack of these yummy treats which is available at all Shopwise, Mercury Drug Store, SM Supermarkets, Robinson’s Supermarket, Puregold, and other local grocery stores. You can also buy it per box which contains 10 pieces of 50G packs and it comes in different flavors too - orange, strawberry, grape, apple and mango.

Here are some of the photos I have taken in the event ( very few since its hard to go around with a toddler in tow) :

Waldy's craving for Batchoy Tagalog

Its been 2 consecutive Saturdays that we're having Batchoy Tagalog for dinner ( and lunch the other day ). Waldy kept bugging me to cook this dish again, as he's been craving for its sabaw.  When you think about this dish or hear the dish name Batchoy, what comes in mind is how complicated it is to cook. I have to thank Google and those Filipino cooking sites for making life easier for me, as I just have to follow every steps and ingredients to make such a dish.  The first time I tasted this dish was in the home of my friend, Coun. Don De Leon of Quezon City. However, I can't remember if he calls the dish the same name as indicated in the net. What's clear to me is that he told me that the formula to make the soup very savory is, he uses a bit of Bagoong isda and kutsai.  What in the world is kutsai? Is it the same as kinchay? What does it look like and why is it so special? These questions are exactly asked by Waldy when I was giving him the list of the in...

Lock&Lock's "National Pa-Baon Month"

It took my sister, Ate Joy of www.occasionsofjoy.com long years to persuade me in creating and publishing my own blog. I created several  blog accounts before, but I quickly lost interest in updating it or not really posting anything at all. So this time, I told her I’d be serious and follow her footsteps. After all, she made herself quite famous by blogging just about anything that comes into her mind! Hehehe! At first, I wasn’t that interested since I was working and does not have the time to really sit down and write something. This time however,  I decided that I will start blogging to maximize my time and keep myself busy since I have stopped working and currently (and proudly!) a stay-at-home mommy since 2014. Finally last week, I attended global brand Lock&Lock, a leader in food container technology, as they declare June 2016 as their first “National Pa-baon Month”. As a mom, this is very applicable since I have a 5 th grader who brings her own baon to sc...

A Tribute to all Supermoms

I never realized how hard being it is to be a mom, until I became one. The thing is, our mom passed away when I was 8 years old. I was the youngest of six brood and never get to spend that much time to get to know mama. Then Tita, our stepmom, came along when I was 11. She helped our father raise us. She taught me to love unconditionally, by loving us as her own. I was blessed to have two wonderful mother. The one who carried with in her belly for 9 months and brought me out into this world, and breastfed me for almost 5 years. And the one who took care of me and raised me to be the woman and a mother I am today. As a mother, it was an honor to be invited to the launch of SM Supermalls' National Supermom's day.  SM Supermalls Senior Vice President for Marketing, Jonjon San Agustin spearheaded the event with a wonderful remark: " Mother's Day is the best time of the year to thank our mom's for all their dedication and hard ...
