Be our Guest!

We all have our favorite Disney Princess' movies, our most loved characters and the most hated villains.

Mine was and still, The Beauty and the Beast. I guess its the fact that Belle is such a dreamer like me, loves to read and imagine far-off places and different adventures. And its not only that, because the story is about learning to love despite appearance.

In a superficial age like we have today, its hard to find and learn to love someone who is not pretty, handsome, sexy or hot. Its difficult to appreciate someone who we think is below our superficial standards. Almost all  young relationships today are based on looks, on standards that are set by telenovelas, koreanovelas, and social medias. Younger generation does not know how and what to really look for in a person, this is the reason why many relationships fail.

I, myself is also guilty of this. When I was young, I always imagine myself being with a handsome and rich guy. But, as I go along my journey, I realized that what really matter is how that person will treat you. How your conversations will be like. How he smiles when that person sees you. How opposite you are but is still madly in-love with each other, so on and forth. I could go on and on, but I won't because its late as of writing this.

The story of Beauty and the Beast hits the spot for me. Its simple, classy and possible.

I was expecting to watch this after my birthday on Thursday with Izhi, but my Ate Joy surprised me. Credits to Ms. Mico of SM. It was an awesome experience to watch my favorite Disney love story on a big screen with all the other celebrities that I only get to see on TV. Feeling ko tuloy celebrity din ako. Hahaha!

Beauty and the Beast will be showing on March 16 at all SM malls.

Spring hangover all-year

I didn't know that there are lots of videos in youtube about unboxing or more like cracking eggs with bits of surprises inside. If I had know that these videos would attract many kids, I would have uploaded Izhi's homemade egg-hunting experience a long time ago. I tried looking for online shops who sells these kind of chocolate eggs, and found out that it was unreasonably expensive. Like its P150 for 2 pieces of eggs, and I'm like what! So I did not continue with the purchase, instead I asked Waldy if he can find small eggs in the market with candies inside. Unfortunately, it was out of stock that day.  Last night, we went at Ate Joy's house for Kuya John's birthday dinner, and I told her that Yuri is so into eggs lately because of these videos that he keeps on playing with the marbles egg decorations in their house. Luckily, she saved some of the eggs from their previous egg-hunt and gave it to Yuri. So today, I bought some small toys like cars and motor...

With Great Fashion Comes Great Confidence

Gone are the days when I used to fit in Small or Extra Small clothes. Nevertheless, I still consider myself a fashionista. At 32, I learned that confidence doesn't just rely on measurements. It comes with maturity, loving and knowing yourself and the body you have right now. Having two children, I learned that motherhood is never an excuse to let yourself go and not get all dolled-up and dressed-up from time to time. Aside from that, being an Independent Beauty Consultant, gives me a sense of responsibility to set an example and to make other women feel important and beautiful. To teach them to embrace their best assets and be proud of themselves. " You need to walk the talk in order for you to lead." Feeling like a queen at Mary Kay Career Conference 2017 At Manila Hotel for Mary Kay Philippine Seminar 2017. My fashion inspiration for this outfit is Gretchen Barreto. Her style is always a mix of feminine and sophistication. At Mary Kay Beauty Center ...
July was the most challenging month for us as a family. Rainy season has begun and of course, along comes influenza virus everywhere. Izhi caught the virus first since she' more exposed to the outside community. Add to the fact that she's busy with school and Karate training, she's more prone to germs and viruses. I later realized that staying indoors doesn't necessarily mean that we are safe from all the germs and the illnesses that goes with it. After a week, Yuri caught the fever, cough and flu which developed to a serious bronchitis. To make the situation worst, Yuri also caught Dengue Fever!  I had posted about this on my FB page, https://www.facebook.com/lizziethebusybee/, where I asked for prayers for Yuri since we were admitted to the hospital already that time. As a mother, it breaks my heart to see my children went through this. It pains me to look at their troubled faces as they sleep restlessly through the night. We both struggled. On my par...
