The finest wine.

They said that men are like fine wine, they get better in time. I couldn't agree more. Being with Waldy for almost 7 years is not too long compared to others, but I can definitely say that this simile definitely applies to him.

2016 was such a challenging time for the both of us in all aspects of our lives. I've seen him struggle with personal issue and his career. I've been with him on his downest moment and still is present beside him today as we face a new year full of hope and renewed goals.

It wasn't easy, but its all worth it. Seeing him commit mistakes and get back up after being down doesn't make me a better person than him, but it made me realized that I am also brave and strong. Because it takes a lot of courage and faith to hone a great man. As the other saying goes :
" Every great man is a great woman. "
So, I guess I can say that its a win-win for us.

As we move along with life, we mold each other into a person that we truly are. We challenge each other to be better. We argue, we fight, I get annoyed, but at the end of the day, what really count is how we love each other.

I feel like a vintner. Working double time to create the best fine wine. From picking out the finest grape with utmost care, to stomping on it with all the love, and enthusiam, and onto his fermentation stage. It makes me so excited to taste the reward of all these labor which takes so much time and patience.

So Badge, I hope you'll read this. Thank you for being my everything. Looking forward to the 364 days of 2017 with you.
I love you.

Cheers and Happy New year to everyone, from Waldy and I!

  2. Nice post. I love the idea that we can stomp on our man to make them better- talking about girl power here..hehe. Kidding aside, any relationship has its ups and downs and highs and lows- and it is really up to both parties to deal with it in complete unison to make things work. Glad to know you and your other half are working together towards building your family. Happy New Year and may 2017 be filled with blissful moments. (macy)

  3. I "slap" my husband from time to time. Hahaha! Kidding aside, I love to read posts like this. My husband sometimes think we're the only social media affectionate pair. My husband is Italian American and there are so much adjustments that happened along the way. Our nomadic life brought us to different countries and cities which tested our relationship, most especially our patience for each other. I love how you put it that as you move along with your lives, you mold each other to be the person that you truly are. :) Have a wonderful 2017 dear!

  4. Happy new year! I thought that metaphor was for women? Haha! But anyway, I'm sure your man makes up for everything he'd done despite the challenges. Honestly, that's how we learn. They say married life is best well spent with someone who've seen you at your worst and still loves you, and that my dear is your best friend :)

  15. We are our husbands' biggest influence, whether we believe it or not. We make or break them and we are their biggest weakness. So it's either we take our place as their partners and support them, or we push them down. I like this blog and I admire how you love your husband. Not too many women have that kind of strength.

  16. Love the quote. Ganyang ganyan ang husband ko. It took us years to really know each other. We were steady for 5 years imagine, before we got married but still when we married, ang dami pa rin naming differences. But with God's blessing, everything settled. He is my fine wine and I am his. Cheers to the love of our lives!

  18. Wow, stomping - I've never thought of it that way before but it does make sense. I do think that my hubby is a lot better than he was before. I'll take credit for some of that but a lot of it, I think, also comes from becoming a father. :)

  20. Your post honestly gave me hope for my husband. Hahaha! Don't get me wrong - he really is a kind man. Pero he can be insensitive and immature at times which I think is normal kasi young couple kami and we got married at our early 20s. Nevertheless, I love him still. And I know maswerte rin ako. :) Happy new year sa inyo sis! And sana mas maging loving pa kayo sa isa't isa as time goes by. <3

Learning Made Extraordinary!

Every school break, we find it hard to look for an interesting summer program where Izhi would be interested in. I tried ballet for her when she was 6, but dancing isn't her first love. We suggested that she try basketball, swimming, theater and so on to no luck.  However, several schools who gave them computer knowledge test, visited us at home and offered a discount for us to enroll Izhi to their basic programming workshop. Apparently, Izhi has achieved high marks on their exams and is offering us a discount upon enrolling. We discussed the matter and decided to decline since we think that she will just forget the lessons since she won't be doing it often. We are looking for something that will bring out the creativity in her. We were invited to a one day free workshop at SparkleLab where we can try their programs. I must say I was impressed! The place was laid-back kinda homey where strange and wonderful things happen. There were Lego's, sewing kits, code, motor...

A Tribute to all Supermoms

I never realized how hard being it is to be a mom, until I became one. The thing is, our mom passed away when I was 8 years old. I was the youngest of six brood and never get to spend that much time to get to know mama. Then Tita, our stepmom, came along when I was 11. She helped our father raise us. She taught me to love unconditionally, by loving us as her own. I was blessed to have two wonderful mother. The one who carried with in her belly for 9 months and brought me out into this world, and breastfed me for almost 5 years. And the one who took care of me and raised me to be the woman and a mother I am today. As a mother, it was an honor to be invited to the launch of SM Supermalls' National Supermom's day.  SM Supermalls Senior Vice President for Marketing, Jonjon San Agustin spearheaded the event with a wonderful remark: " Mother's Day is the best time of the year to thank our mom's for all their dedication and hard ...
